What is Timber Grip™?
Timber Grip™ is our proprietary backer rod specially designed to perform on all full log, half log and log sided chink style homes. Timber Grip stays were it is put without the aid of adhesives, staples or fasteners. Timber Grip is manufactured in a wide variety of sizes to fit your home.
Timber Grip™ performs five key functions in the joint design:
1. It limits the amount of applied chink while maintaining proper material depth to width ratio.
2. It assists the chink in forming the proper shape for optimum adhesion.
3. It acts as a bond breaker to ensure two-point adhesion.
4. It provides insulation to the joint.
5. It strongly affects the aesthetic appearance of the finished joint.
